I have tried uninstalling the device and then forcing it to use the DJSVS file but it says this does not have any drivers for my device. According to the description, the issue seems to be related to Windows 7. I have been searching for what seems like weeks adpatec and can’t seem to find anything.
I would try going through the install steps again, or as another commenter stated after getting it to work: I took the folder off of a Vista Ultmate x64 machine. I am backing up with tape and not accidently wiping out my files aadaptec.

After the driver was installed my DDS tape drive big listed as a cassette drive at the top of the device list. I have tried your fix above to no avail. Which Adaptec card do you have installed??
